Continuous assurance for environmental risk
For insured customers in food production and distribution, grocery, restaurants, pharma manufacturing and hospitality, pest activity is a material threat to product integrity, public health and brand reputation. Yet the insurance relationship usually sees that risk through a monthly inspection report written by the contractor responsible for fixing the problem. The risk underwriters cannot see today
Enterprises now govern financial, cyber, safety and quality risk with continuous monitoring. Environmental risk has been left behind:
- Point-in-time evidence: Weekly or monthly visits leave pest risk unobserved for most of the month. Few risk managers would accept a security guard or a quality team that showed up only four times a month.
